The Wayne County Four Star Health program is a non-profit Michigan corporation organized within this community to provide health coverage for the working uninsured in Wayne County. It is known as a 'three-share' program because your employer and the non-profit fund share two-thirds of the monthly premium cost. You only pay one- third. And because the local hospitals charge reduced fees, the coverage limit goes even farther. You and your family worry less. Wherever you work or live in Wayne County - there are health experts right in the neighborhood. Wayne County Four Star Health is available exclusively to Wayne County small businesses with 2 - 100 employees. The business must have over 50% of their employees residing here and have employees who have not participated in an employer sponsored health plan in the last 12 months. At least half of the employees of the group must earn $16.00 or less per hour.
